Post an ad on craigslist. Plan out your fathers meals and pay someone to cook and deliver them to him daily. I would suggest meeting with the person (giving an informal interview first) so you're comfortable having them take on this responsibility. During that time you can even discuss a possible meal plan you'd like to follow. In addition you can keep in contact with person while you're away to check in on your father and make sure everything is going well. Just a suggestion. I hope it helped! Enjoy your vacation!

Normally an employer will not allow an employee to take PTO in lieu of notice. That being said if you just quit without notice you should get paid for the time off. Depending on the state you live in there may be specific laws governing this so it is best to check with your local labor board.

It depends if it is a side-mounted spring or a torsion spring. For side-mounted springs, just adjust the tension in the cables. For the torsion spring, C-clamp the door and the you can let out the spring.

read over your written contract if no written contract i would say sorry no doing!
-
No you should only have to pay for your two weeks notice. UNless it was written in your contract that you pay your two week notice and her week of vacation
-
If her two week vacation happens to fall at the same time as the final weeks that your child would be in her care, then yes. If she only requires a two week notice in the contract, then she is very much in the wrong.
-
It sounds like you may be confused and are paying for the time she's working that would have been her vacation but she hasn't taken it so of course you would owe. Otherwise you should read the contract you signed because some employers so give paid vacations and it would have been in the contract you signed saying that you would paid for time off.

-
Cameras have actually come a long way. My sister bough a camera for about $130 last month and it takes great photos. The only reason you need a really expensive or complicated camera is if you are blowing the pictures up into human sized posters. Even at 8X10, a photo from a $100 camera still looks good.

It partially depends on why you are being asked to vacate... For instance, have you missed any rental payments? Were you served a court notice at some point by your landlord? If you have a lease and are current with your payments, then I would definitely contact the attorney and advise them that they are breaking your contract. If you have been evicted by a court, then you only have the goodwill of the landlord to stay longer than the 10 days notice given.
